Elaine Wilson's style is fun, engaging and approachable. Students are encouraged to ask questions and get involved, ensuring they can learn as much as possible in the class. Everyone will taste everything (it really ends up being more like a meal, so don't eat beforehand), get the recipes and take home a resource sheet.
One of Edmonton's most popular personal chefs and cooking instructors, Elaine's perspective is not only from an instructive point-of-view, but from practical experience in the kitchen cooking for clients every day. With a sense of humour, fun and lightheartedness, students learn to have fun in the kitchen.

Vegan Cooking Class I - Protein
Once common only in the "granola" and "hippie" crowds, eating vegan is becoming a popular way of creating balance with the way we eat. The most common challenge in preparing vegan meals is ensuring there is enough protein, and high quality protein at that. This cooking class will give a solid introduction to key proteins: edamame; tofu/tempeh; quinoa; and legumes (lentils and beans). Used in familiar and unexpected ways, these foundation blocks to vegan meals will ensure sufficient protein while creating delicious, rounded meals using locally sourced products and ingredients whenever possible.
